Spending New Year’s Eve in Djanet is a unique experience in the heart of the Algerian desert. The trip usually includes the exploration of the Tassili n’Ajjer National Park, a UNESCO site famous for its millennial rock carvings and spectacular rock formations.
Note:

Itinerary
Day 1: Italy – Djanet
- Airport reception and transfer to the city.
- Accommodation in a camp or local facility.
- Stroll through the center of Djanet to discover the market and Tuareg culture.
Day 2: Exploration of Tassili n’Ajjer
- Departure in 4×4 towards Tassili n’Ajjer National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
- Visit to the millennial rock carvings and spectacular rock formations.
- Bivouac under the stars with traditional Tuareg dinner.
Day 3: Adventure among the dunes
- Excursion to Tadrart Rouge, one of the most fascinating areas of the desert.
- Trekking among golden dunes and hidden oases.
- Preparation of traditional tea and contemplation of the sunset.
Day 4: New Year’s Eve in the desert
- Day dedicated to the discovery of Tuareg traditions.
- Preparation of a special New Year’s Eve dinner with typical dishes.
- Party under the stars with local music and dances to welcome the new year.
Day 5: Return to Djanet
- Last excursion in the surroundings of Djanet.
- Visit to the Essendilène valley and its natural springs.
- Return to the city and transfer to the airport.
Day 6:
- Flight to Algiers
- Visit to the Casbah of Algiers, UNESCO heritage site, fortified citadel inhabited by the fishermen of Algiers.
- Continuity towards the center of Algiers the White, to discover the Grande Poste, an imposing white post office headquarters built in 1910 in neo-Moorish style
- Hotel accommodation
- Dinner with tradition and folklore
Day 7: Algeria – Italy
- Breakfast, transfer to the airport and return flight to Italy
The trip includes

- Accommodation in double or triple room depending on the availability of the facility
- Half board (breakfast and dinner)
- All transfers, visits and excursions mentioned in the program
- Means of transport, for the north and central parts, mini van/mini bus (depending on the number of participants) for the south part 4×4 off-road vehicles
